Located in the Southern Puget Sound with a population of approximately 20 people, Ketron Island lies between Steilacoom and Anderson Island. It is only accessible by Ferry.
Ketron Island real estate made news when a 5-acre estate, 5300ft square home with 1,000 feet of waterfront sold for $1.1million. Built in the likeness of the Frank Lloyd Wright style, it was originally built by J.C. Morris in 1946. Morris bought the entire island in 1946 with a vision of building 200 homes on the property as an Island retreat. The vision necessitated an expensive sewer treatment facility and as a result, has not been realized to date.
